Resources:
- Active Non-Fiction Centers:
- Melissa Stewart's book 5 Kinds of Nonfiction: Enriching Reading and Writing Instruction with Children's Books is a book I utilize to teach my students about non-fiction. Each week we dive into one of the 5 kinds of non-fiction. On the week we focus on active non-fiction we have centers that students can participate in. At each center I have active non-fiction books and supplies needed to carry out whatever that center focuses on.
